The chambers

Quiet counsel, rigorous preparation.

Juris & Nova Chambers advises from Parrys, minutes from the Madras High Court. Our practice is deliberately broad but never thin: each discipline is led by an advocate who works in it daily, so a property question is answered by a property lawyer and a bail application is drafted by someone who files them every week.

We take a limited number of matters, explain the law in language you can act on, and tell you when a fight is not worth having. That candour is why most of our work now arrives by referral.

More about the firm
Priyanka Muthukumar, Founder and Chairperson of Juris & Nova Chambers

Founder & Chairperson

Priyanka Muthukumar

Priyanka Muthukumar is the Founder and Chairperson of Juris & Nova Chambers. She is qualified simultaneously in the three disciplines that govern every enterprise — law, corporate governance and finance. An Advocate (LLB; MBA in Law, O.P. Jindal Global Law School), an Associate Company Secretary (ACS, India), a Certified Management Accountant (CMA, USA) and an Associate Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA, UK), she advises where those disciplines meet: cross-border transactions, debt recovery and insolvency, corporate governance, and financial regulation.

Her specialist regulatory training at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) spans bankruptcy and insolvency, financial law, corporate law and advanced competition law. Her strategic grounding comes from IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, Stanford, Harvard and Oxford, alongside a Global MBA.

Before founding the firm, she spent over a decade leading combined finance and legal operations in various sectors — the experience that shaped the firm’s integrated model.
